Hi Lorraine, sorry about the delay in your comments appearing. We get a truckload of people every day trying to leave links to sites selling porn, drugs and other unacceptable things so all comments have to be approved by me before they appear :)

As to your question - I am convinced I am supposed to keep the sabbath holy but I still haven't heard from him as to what day the sabbath should be.

I'm sure He will let me know sooner or later along with giving me some ideas on how to go about being obedient to His will.

Thanks for your comments and cheers - Kim

Sorry me again, just read 'God Won't Tell me What I Already Know' (which I found very moving by the way, having had two abortions myself and still not completely forgiven myself yet), and I find it interesting that He said to you He'd already given you the instruction in writing (thou shall not kill). He also told you about keeping the Sabbath day in writing, the fourth commandment, so I'd love to know if He did tell you anything new on this subject?

Your friend,

Hi Kim,

I'm just wondering if you ever received clarification on the whole sabbath thing?

I myself am a Seventh-Day Adventist, we worship on the Sabbath day, Staurday. We feel it is extremely important, for a start, the fourth commandment begins with the word 'remember', so God knew at some point it would be forgotten.

God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, so that we might remember that in 6 days He made the world, and rested from his works on the seventh, commanding us to do the same.

Keeping the Sabbath reminds us of Creation, something which is forgotten by the majority of people in this world, and even denied by some religious organisations (I think even the Pope commented that evolution could be true!).

He gave us the day as a sign, between Him and His people, that He might know we are His people, and we know He is our Lord. Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Jesus always kept the Sabbath, and during His ministry, whilst looking ahead to 70AD to the fall of Jerusalem, expected people to still be keeping the Sabbath then (pray that your flight be not in the winter or on the Sabbath).

Many claim that the day was changed to Sunday in honour of the resurrection, but this is not backed up by the Bible. The commandments are still in effect today, just as they always were.

Kind regard,
